Windows Systems Engineer
CSS Tec's client in Kankakee, IL is looking to bring on a Windows Systems Engineer on a full-time, direct hire basis.
Our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company, is looking for a full-time Systems Engineer where you'll be responsible for the full systems life cycle maintenance & implementation of systems hosting the company's mission critical applications.
You'll have an opportunity to work with Windows servers, Active Directory, Exchange, and many other exciting technologies.
Our ideal candidate has an IT related degree, work experience managing Windows servers in a global data center, and preferably some experience in a large corporate environment, ideally in the Pharma industry.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provides primary support through daily operations for the following but not limited to IT functional areas:
Server installation/build automation, patching and configuration.
Provides all aspects of Windows Server administration for applications in a corporate critical environment.
Provides Windows Server support for the manufacturing sites.
Assist vendors with software installation on Windows Server.
Knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, Group Policy, Server 2012 R2/2016, and PKI.
Knowledge of PowerShell, FTP, SCCM, and Networking is a plus.
Provides technical expertise in the areas of system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Available for on call 24x7 support.

Bachelor's Degree preferred in a computer-based discipline (e.
g.
Computer Science, Information Systems) or a technical discipline (e.
g.
Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent work experience 2
years related experience working with infrastructure systems Windows Server support experience Basic level of knowledge with industry standard server hardware and operating systems, data storage systems, virtualization and networking technologies Solid fundamental troubleshooting skills Suitable troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to propose and implement sustainable solutions Strong written & verbal communication skills Preferred Skills & Experience (not required):
Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience preferred.
