Summary:
Application Coordinators have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of EPIC applications.
They are responsible for obtaining and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the workflows to be implemented on the system.
Jointly with each other and with the respective department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow.
They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.
Experience/Education Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively with project leadership and subject matter experts Ability and interest to learn the software and increase their knowledge over time Operational experience Ability to keep projects on target, delivering with quality and according to specifications Clinical experience preferred Education in field of expertise desired License or Certification Requirements:
Must obtain appropriate EPIC certification within 6 months of hire
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with trainers in the design and development of training programs to support workflows to be implemented Communicating project status with each other, with department representatives, and with higher levels; provide formal status reporting on a periodic basis to supervisory staff as requested.
Coordinating and facilitating meetings as assigned; documenting proceedings.
Designing, building, and validating the application to conform to desired workflows.
Following established guidelines for testing, documentation, and change control.
Identifying potential system enhancements.
Implementing approved changes based on customer- designated priorities.
Obtaining and maintaining Epic certification in assigned application module.
