Experience with children preferred.
Bilingual a plus.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Taking medical histories Explaining treatment procedures to patients Preparing patients for examination Assisting the physician during exams Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing basic laboratory tests Instructing patients about medication and special diets Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician Transmitting prescription refills as directed Taking electrocardiograms Vitals Administering vaccines Knowledge of HIPAA, EMR/EHR Finger-stick blood tests Calling patients with lab results High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist certification program at an accredited institution that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
