Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control and management at our cannabis dispensary.
As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of inventory management principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the cannabis industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure efficient stock control and accuracy.
Monitor inventory levels, track product movement, and conduct regular audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with vendors to manage product orders and deliveries.
Collaborate with the purchasing department to forecast inventory needs and ensure adequate stock levels.
Oversee inventory replenishment, including creating purchase orders, monitoring lead times, and managing backorders.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Analyze sales data and inventory reports to identify trends, slow-moving products, and potential stock shortages.
Optimize inventory processes, including stock rotation, shelf organization, and product categorization.
Train and supervise inventory staff, ensuring they follow proper procedures and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding cannabis inventory management and reporting.
Work closely with the compliance team to maintain accurate records and facilitate regulatory audits.
Implement and utilize inventory management software or systems to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a highly regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with state and local regulations governing cannabis inventory management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in using inventory management software or systems.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
