This includes managing the dispensary staff, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations, maintaining inventory control, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with financial and administrative tasks.
The Dispensary Assistant Manager will work closely with the Dispensary Manager to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for both employees and customers.
This individual will embody outstanding leadership qualities, creating a warm and supportive environment while coaching, reinforcing, and providing continuous feedback to the retail team.
They will bring genuine motivation, positivity, and an enthusiastic spirit to lead our dispensary through the exciting and challenging phase of startup operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Dispensary Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of the dispensary operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, compliance with local and state regulations, and customer service.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to dispensary staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
Establishes and maintains a cohesive, respectful, professional, and high-integrity work environment within the dispensary.
Leads the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and retention efforts to build a diverse and talented team.
Ensure compliance with local and state regulations related to cannabis sales, including maintaining accurate records and documentation, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting to regulatory agencies as required.
Assist in managing inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking cannabis products, as well as monitoring expiration dates and ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed.
Collaborate with the Dispensary Manager to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dispensary operations, including cash handling, product packaging, and customer interactions.
Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions, providing product information, and resolving customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dispensary environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with financial management tasks, such as preparing and managing budgets, monitoring sales and expenses, and analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement.
Stay up-to-date with cannabis industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations to the Dispensary Manager for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote responsible cannabis use and build positive relationships with customers and the local community.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a management role, preferably in the cannabis industry or a related field.
Knowledge of local and state regulations governing cannabis sales, inventory control, and compliance.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, staff, and regulatory agencies.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Must pass a background check and comply with all state and local cannabis regulations.
